As Lotus expanded from an emerging healthcare startup into a growing network of modern clinics, its brand needed to evolve alongside it. The existing identity provided a foundation, but rapid growth brought new expectations: attracting physicians and investors, establishing credibility in a competitive market, and creating a cohesive experience across expanding touchpoints.

Brand Evolution

Rather than reinventing the brand, the opportunity was to strengthen what already existed. I refined the original identity by improving colour accessibility, adjusting logo applications, and developing a comprehensive visual system that could scale across multiple clinics and marketing channels. The result was a more distinctive and consistent brand presence that balanced professionalism with approachability during a critical period of growth.

Three square tiles with rounded corners displaying different geometric patterns: the left tile has an abstract blue-green floral design, the middle tile shows a light hexagonal honeycomb pattern with thin blue-green lines on an off-white background, and the right tile features a larger, light brown hexagonal pattern with subtle outlines.
Biophilic Principles

The design language drew inspiration from the clinics themselves. Lotus embraced biophilic design to create environments that reduce stress and promote wellbeing through natural light, greenery, and open, thoughtfully planned spaces. Organic forms, lotus leaf-inspired shapes, warm neutral tones, and generous white space translated these principles into the brand, creating visual breathing room and reinforcing a sense of calm and care.

Three tote bags on a light background: left bag is light brown with white lotus flower logo and 'Lotus' text; middle bag is white with green handles and text 'Happier doctors. Better care.' and a small green Lotus logo; right bag is dark blue with a hexagonal pattern and a small white lotus logo inside one hexagon, with dark handles.

Designing for Growth

As marketing ambitions expanded, the original website platform became increasingly limiting. Partnering with the Marketing Director, we restructured the site's architecture, mapped user journeys, and developed responsive wireframes with physicians and clinic stakeholders in mind. I then designed and built the new websites in Webflow, establishing a flexible digital foundation capable of supporting evolving business needs. Over the course of this work, I designed and optimized three company websites while helping maintain a cohesive brand presence across multiple clinic locations.

Three mobile phone screens displaying Lotus healthcare app pages: left screen shows a bright office with text inviting to become a Lotus Doctor and a 'Practice with us' button; center screen has a blurred background with white text about clinics designed for healthcare professionals' well-being and a 'Practice with us' button; right screen highlights clinic experience with a cozy sofa image and text about clinic environment and benefits.
